Karin Mekhaeil, LCMHCA
Psychotherapist
I am a Licenced Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North
Carolina. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of
Maryland, College Park and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health
Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My
clinical experience includes helping individuals who struggle with
anxiety, depression, body image, low self-esteem, relationship issues,
life transitions, and more.
In working together, my intention is and will always be to foster an
environment that is filled with safety and trust, as well as void of
judgment. Being vulnerable can be very difficult on its own, and it's
essential to me to create a space where vulnerability does not come
with any more obstacles or barriers. I bring authenticity, empathy,
and kindness in the room and navigate our work together from there. I
operate from a strengths based model that helps us to build a strong
foundation for our work through reflecting on your own strengths
(because you have many). I utilize multiple modalities and theoretical
perspectives including Person-Centered therapy, Psychodynamic therapy,
Existential therapy, and Solution Focused therapy to help you achieve
the goals we set. I deeply enjoy working with people of all
backgrounds and cultures and listening to each person’s different life
experiences. Please reach out. I would love to meet you.
