Jose Martinez, LCMHC
Psychotherapist
I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and proud graduate of the Pontifical University of Puerto Rico, with over 20 years of experience providing compassionate care to children, teens, and adults from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds. I’m fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with refugees and individuals across the lifespan, supporting those navigating trauma, transition, and life challenges. I’ve served in global nonprofit organizations dedicated to protecting vulnerable children and strengthening families, with a focus on transitional foster care, family preservation, and wraparound community services.
I also bring extensive experience from school and university settings, where I’ve supported students in career decision-making, assessments, and emotional well-being. I offer individual, family, and group therapy with a deep commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for healing, growth, and resilience.
Fun Fact: I’ve volunteered as an intercontinental supervisor, missionary, and church planter in various countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. These experiences have enriched my multicultural perspective and deepened my commitment to compassionate service within diverse communities.
