Licensed Clinical Social Worker //
Kathryn Falbo-Woodson, LCSW
I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina, specially trained in integrated care (working with medical professionals, doctors, and other specialists to optimize health and wellness). I have more than 18 years in mental health, working in the following settings: community-based, hospital-based outpatient, oncology, family medicine, primary care, and private practice. I have experience providing psychotherapy and health coaching with older adults, young adults, and children and families who are managing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), chronic illness, pain management, grief and loss, life transitions, sexual trauma, substance use disorders, death/dying, caregiver stress, compassion fatigue, anxiety, depression, harm reduction, and health behaviors (e.g., improved sleep, weight loss, smoking cessation, etc.).
I believe that caring for the whole person involves reflection, self-care, and an awareness of socioeconomic and political factors that contribute to systemic problems. I am passionate about co-creating goals with individuals, couples and families that allow for personal growth through every stage of life. Building trust through a safe, calming, and hopeful environment provides the foundation for our work together. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to achieve optimal support for wellness, dependent on your needs in the moment.
